Mircea Mustata

Mircea Mustata has finished the Ph.D program at University of California, Berkeley and immediately afterwards he began his position as a Clay Research Fellow. He has visited University of Nice, in the Fall and Isaac Newton Institute, Cambridge, in the Spring. His main research interest is in algebraic geometry. More precisely, he is interested in singularities (connections between jet schemes of algebraic varieties and properties of the singularities, via motivic integration), free resolutions (especially for general sets of points on projective curves and connections with properties of vector bundles on these curves) and toric varieties.

Mircea Mustata holds his Clay Research Fellowship from July 1, 2001 to June 6, 2004.
