Program Proposals
The Clay Mathematics Institute invites proposals for conferences and workshops. Proposals will be judged on their scientific merit, probable impact, and potential to advance mathematical knowledge. The Scientific Advisory Board generally meets four times a year and will consider proposals at each of these meetings. Most decisions, however, are made in early Fall; complete material for consideration at that meeting should be received by August 1.
Proposals to be considered at our September SAB meeting should be received by August 1.
Proposals to be considered at our November SAB meeting should be received by October 1.
Proposals need not be long, but should address the scientific rationale, benefit, and impact of the project. Please use our standard cover sheet (the link to this form can be found on the right-hand side of this page), attach a budget and send to the attention of Christa Carter at proposals@claymath.org or at the Clay Mathematics Institute, One Bow Street, Cambridge, MA 02138. Tel. (617) 995-2600.
CMI encourages short pre-proposals consisting of the coversheet and a letter expressing interest and commenting on the value of the project for the mathematical community.
