Congratualtions to Sir Roger Penrose who, with Reinhard Genzel and Andrea Ghez, was awarded the 2020 Nobel Prize for Physics for their work on black holes. University of Oxford Mathematician Penrose is cited “for the discovery that black hole formation is a robust prediction of the general theory of relativity.” Roger Penrose was awarded a Clay Award for Dissemination of Mathematical Knowledge in 2018.
