Clay Research Scholars

Clay Research Scholars are supported on research projects of up to one year in order to pursue urgent projects at the most exciting frontiers of mathematics. The standard for these awards is such that this program will be used infrequently.

Proposals are evaluated on their intellectual merit by the Scientific Advisory Board. This program is not intended to support regular research visits or routine collaborations, but rather to allow the CMI to respond quickly and flexibly to exceptional circumstances in a way that other funding bodies are sometimes unable to do.

An application should consist of

  • Project description and budget
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Publication list
  • Letters of reference
